Akala Garrett, a junior at Harding University High in North Carolina, won the women's 60-meter hurdles in 8.43 seconds and finished fourth overall in the seeded 200 in 25.25 seconds at the Camel City Invitational at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. Garrett, who ran 8.47 on Jan. 29 at the 114th Millrose Games at The Armory in New York, clocked 8.60 in the prelims at Camel City. She also won her section in the 200, but produced the fourth-fastest time overall.
